Privacy Policy
Crypto Ledger Security Privacy Policy. Data collection, protection, and your rights.
Crypto Ledger Security Privacy Policy describes how personal data is collected, processed, stored, and protected when users interact with Crypto Ledger applications, websites, and support services. This policy applies to all platforms where Crypto Ledger software operates and to all associated web properties providing security information and documentation.
This Privacy Policy was last updated in January 2026. Updates may occur to reflect changes in data handling practices, regulatory requirements, or service capabilities. Continued use of Crypto Ledger services after policy updates constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
Data Collection
Crypto Ledger Security services collect limited categories of personal data necessary for providing wallet functionality and security support.
Device and application data includes hardware wallet model identifiers, firmware versions, installed blockchain applications, and host device operating system details. This data enables correct interface display, compatible update delivery, and technical issue diagnosis. No personally identifiable information is required to use the Crypto Ledger application.
Security telemetry encompasses anonymized data about potential security events such as failed genuine checks, unusual connection patterns, or error conditions that may indicate attacks. This information supports security monitoring and threat identification. Collection can be disabled in application settings.
Support interaction data includes information provided when submitting tickets, communicating with support staff, or using help center resources. This data is necessary to provide assistance and resolve issues.
Website visitor data comprises standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser types, pages visited, and timestamps. This data supports security monitoring and traffic analysis.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Crypto Ledger websites use cookies and similar technologies for functionality and analysis.
- Essential cookies enable core website functions including navigation, session management, and security features. These cookies cannot be disabled without affecting functionality.
- Analytics cookies collect anonymized website usage data including pages visited and time spent. These cookies can be disabled through the consent interface.
- Security cookies support fraud detection and abuse prevention by identifying suspicious access patterns. These cookies protect against automated attacks.
Cookie preferences can be managed through the settings link in website footers or browser configuration.
Analytics and Monitoring
Crypto Ledger Security uses analytics to understand application and website usage patterns. Analytics data is processed in aggregated form and excludes private keys, recovery phrases, account balances, and transaction details.
Application telemetry operates through opt-in collection of anonymized events. Users declining analytics transmit no telemetry data. Security monitoring continuously analyzes patterns to identify potential threats, phishing campaigns, and fraudulent activity affecting users. Analytics data retention follows a 26-month rolling period with subsequent archival and raw data deletion.
Third-Party Tools and Services
Crypto Ledger Security integrates with third-party services for specific functions: security scanning services analyze submitted URLs and files for malware detection to protect users from phishing; cloud infrastructure providers host backend services under data processing agreements requiring regulatory compliance; communication platforms deliver security alerts and notifications to users who opt in to receive them. Third-party data handling is governed by respective privacy policies of each service provider.
Data Security
Crypto Ledger Security implements technical and organizational measures protecting personal data:
- TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit
- Encryption of stored data at rest
- Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel
- Regular security audits by independent firms
- Incident response procedures for potential breaches
- Secure development practices following industry standards
We never ask for your recovery phrase or private keys. The Crypto Ledger application architecture ensures recovery phrases and private keys exist only inside hardware wallet secure elements. These secrets are never transmitted to Ledger servers or any third party. Any request for recovery phrases or private keys should be treated as a phishing attack.
Data Retention
Crypto Ledger Security retains personal data only as long as necessary for stated purposes:
- Website logs: 90 days
- Analytics data: 26 months
- Support tickets: 3 years after last interaction
- Security incident data: 5 years for threat analysis
- Cookie consent records: 13 months
Users can request data deletion subject to legal retention requirements through the support portal.
User Rights
Depending on jurisdiction, users may exercise rights including: access to personal data; correction of inaccurate data; deletion of personal data; restriction of processing; data portability; objection to processing. Rights requests can be submitted through the support portal with identity verification as required.
International Transfers
Data may be transferred internationally for processing by service providers. Transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or binding corporate rules as applicable.
Children Privacy
Crypto Ledger services are not directed at individuals under 18. Personal data from minors is not knowingly collected and will be deleted if discovered.
